Activity:
Emotions Rally:
children work cooperatively to complete face cards
depicting emotions.
Skills:

Materials:
colored sets of puzzle cards depicting emotions
Procedure:
- Allow children some time before the "game"
begins to familiarize themselves with the puzzle face
cards.
- Break children up into groups of 3 and assign them a
color (which is the color card their team will
collect).
- Puzzle face cards are placed on the floor picture side
down/color side up.
- Teacher signals children to "Make a
face!"
- Children pick up one colored card each, meet back with
their team and put the pieces together to form the
picture.
- When the picture is completed, teams call out the
emotion depicted.
- Play again with remaining cards.
Extensions:
- Puzzles: set up the game cards as a tabletop activity.

- Memory: set up as the traditional game of
"Memory" and try to find 3 cards that match.
