Does your infant really need a
sterile environment? Or a fancy, copyrighted program designed by
experts who never change diapers?
As
parents and teachers with years of experience in the field of
early childhood development and education, we at MCC have known
for years what infants need most for healthy development:
nurturing and stimulating interaction with an energetic,
attentive adult. A smiling face, plenty of conversation, individual attention and
physical contact are the critical elements of excellent infant
care. Our infant program provides these things and more! At MCC your
infant has the best of both worlds. Our small, calm, home-like
infant environment is supported by the resources of a larger
center: beautiful outdoor play spaces, stimulating interaction
with older siblings and loving, knowledgeable staff members, our
social emotional development curriculum, and plenty of activities
designed to encourage their emerging skills.
You'll see one of our infant teachers sitting on the floor, singing,
chatting or engaging older infants in stacking blocks or rolling
balls, for example. Our infant play space easily accommodates
your growing infant's desire to be on the move, with safe,
roomy, appropriate play areas and surfaces designed to support
and challenge emerging gross
motor skills. Manipulative play helps develop fine motor
skills and hand-eye coordination. Literature, music and everyday
conversation - with lots of repetition - engage your infant and
help develop receptive and expressive language skills.
Overall a feeling
of fun, lots of love and a balance of playfulness with quiet
time, make your baby, and you, feel at home. We encourage family
involvement and work closely with you, as parents, to be sure
that your infant receives care you are confident of - just ask
the many children and families who start out in our infant
program and remain with us through the school age program. Our
teachers are committed to providing excellent care for your
infants.
